Staging Associate

American Furniture Warehouse

About The Position

The AFW Show Floor Staging Associate physically places merchandise in the showroom under the direction of the Visual Designer and Store Management. The role helps create an excellent visual presentation by opening, assembling, and inspecting merchandise; placing it on the show floor; and attaching tags that provide prices, product features, and other customer information. The associate also constructs, paints, sets up, and deconstructs displays, and uses a stock picker to move inventory between the warehouse and Staging Department and return merchandise to stock. AFW provides and pays for all training. Starting pay is $17–$19 per hour, with weekly pay; higher starting rates may be verified through experience. The position involves merchandise assembly and inspection, inventory management, display and fixture work, customer-service support, and coordination with multiple departments. The associate must follow safety policies and procedures and be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
