About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation Infrastructure, you will participate in all stages of design, primarily in road engineering (roads and highways), particularly for projects related to the Quebec Ministry of Transport. As part of your duties, you will collaborate with various, often multidisciplinary, teams located throughout the province. You may also be called upon to perform site supervision for various road engineering mandates.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering in progress,
Knowledge of basic civil design software,
Passion for road engineering and a desire to develop various skills in this field;
Intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and dynamism.

Responsibilities

Establish geometric and hydraulic concepts (closed and open drainage);
Design pavement structures and safety elements;
Develop marking and signage concepts (including overhead signage);
Conduct studies and preliminary projects in road engineering;
Perform detailed engineering of road structures;
Collaborate on the preparation of plans with the designated technician;
Produce plans and specifications, including the preparation of construction cost estimates;
Provide technical assistance during work;
Occasionally supervise road construction sites;
All other tasks related to the internship.
