Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a university degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written)
  • Excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to learn new computer applications.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Must be rigorous and possess good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate innovation, analytical skills, and autonomy in task execution.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Positive and collaborative attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of information.
  • Some travel required (approximately 10%), valid class 5 driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Assist the senior internal auditor in conducting internal audits.
  • Participate in physical inventory audits and verification counts of CO2 cylinders and other inventory.
  • Gain an understanding of policies, procedures, and controls through interviews with process owners and review of documentation.
  • Assist and support the lead auditor in testing the adequacy and effectiveness of procedures and controls, and contribute to identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Compile audit findings for review by the lead auditor.
  • Perform analyses as needed using analytical tools and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Organize and document work papers and audit reports.
  • Participate in special or ad hoc projects.
