About The Position

The Stage Manager at the Los Angeles campus will assist with managing theatre events as assigned (stage managers receive offers on a ‘per show’ basis). Most rehearsals are anticipated to be conducted on weeknights (some weekend days may also be needed) during the upcoming spring semester.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) or comparable educational or professional experience
• Minimum 2 year of professional experience in stage management
• Extensive experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of our students, including disabilities that may affect students' development and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Attendance is required at all rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances
• Liaison between student performers and artistic/production staff
• Create and distribute rehearsal and performance reports
• Record blocking and taking notes at production meetings
