About The Position

Join our team as a Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler for the Clinical team! This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $16+ per hour depending on experience. The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for creating the schedule for the clinical team. A CNA certification is preferred for this role. The ideal candidate must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. The primary role involves adjusting and maintaining staff work schedules, utilizing department staffing policies for decision-making, determining schedules based on requests, negotiating staffing needs with leaders, and anticipating immediate and future staffing needs. This includes resolving staffing problems by broadcasting to staff, utilizing PRN staff, or reallocating existing staff. The role also requires tracking, documenting, and reporting staffing data to directors for analysis. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for working with employees, leads, and department directors. The candidate must be well-organized, highly self-motivated, independent, and flexible. Proficiency in computer applications for email, scheduling, Excel, and payroll is necessary. The ability to work with multiple interruptions, under stress, and with large interactive groups is also required.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education or equivalent training in a health care or business related field is required.
  • Must have strong communication and negotiation skills to work with employees, leads, and department directors.
  • Must be well organized, have high degree of self-motivation and independence and be flexible when needed to adjust schedules.
  • Must use computer applications for email, scheduling, excel, and payroll.
  • Must be able to work with multiple interruptions, under stress, and with large interactive groups all wanting scheduling requests.
  • CNA certified

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with people or staffing issues desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes each department staffing policy for decision making in scheduling appropriate levels of patient/resident care providers.
  • Utilizes requests to determine scheduling for staff.
  • Negotiates staffing needs with leaders and/or directors.
  • Anticipates immediate and future staffing needs and works to resolve these staffing problems (i.e. broadcast to staff, utilizes, PRN staff, or reallocates existing staff).
  • Track, document, and report staffing data to directors for analysis.
  • Adjusting and maintaining staff work schedules.
