This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of the designing, standardizing, implementing, verifying, validating, and commercializing of Wireless WAN (or cellular) air interface and modem technologies, as a prototype, specification, product, or component within a product. Designs and implements software for real-time systems, refines performance-critical components to ensure optimal operation. Leverages knowledge of WWAN system specifications and contributes to the creation and execution of complex simulation and modeling software that informs the design, implementation, enhancement, and evolution of advanced wireless technologies. Works closely with the other functional groups to develop a cost effective, high quality and high capability air interface and modem that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance (e.g., capacity, coverage, throughput, latency, power consumption) and acceptable cost (e.g., silicon area, calibration complexity, code size). Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.
