About The Position

The Lower 48 segment consists of operations located in the 48 contiguous U.S. states, with a portfolio mainly consisting of low cost of supply, short cycle time, resource-rich unconventional plays and commercial operations. The majority of our acreage is unconventional. Based on 2025 production volumes, the Lower 48 is our largest segment and contributed 67 percent of our consolidated liquids production and 74 percent of our consolidated natural gas production. In 2025, net production averaged 1,484 MBOED. As a Staff Wells Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the Permian Wells organization make informed, data-driven decisions that improve operational performance, execution efficiency, and business results. You will combine technical analysis, operational knowledge, and business insight to support drilling, completions, engineering, planning, and field execution teams across the well lifecycle. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, improving processes, and translating operational data into actionable insights. You will work closely with stakeholders across Wells organizations to develop reporting solutions, strengthen data quality, improve planning and scheduling processes, and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support safe, efficient, and reliable operations while helping the organization make faster and better business decisions. This position works closely with stakeholders across the Wells organization to improve business processes, reporting capabilities, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience supporting operations, engineering, data analytics, business analysis, planning, scheduling, or process improvement.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and translating information into actionable business insights.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, data visualizations, or analytical tools.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting drilling, completions, production, facilities, or other oil and gas operational functions.
  • Experience with reporting, visualization, and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data management, automation, workflow improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise databases, reporting platforms, or data query tools.
  • Experience supporting operational planning, scheduling, performance management, or execution readiness activities.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced operational and business analysis to support drilling, completions, planning, scheduling, field execution, and overall Wells performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical tools that provide meaningful insights to engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Analyze operational and business data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks, improvement opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve planning, scheduling, performance tracking, and operational decision-making processes.
  • Design and implement workflow improvements, automation opportunities, and streamlined business processes that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Establish and maintain data standards, documentation, and quality assurance practices that improve consistency, reliability, and usability of business information.
  • Support operational reviews, business planning efforts, performance reporting, and execution readiness activities across the Wells organization.
  • Identify data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Evaluate emerging digital tools, analytics capabilities, and technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and business performance.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and process controls that support compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical, operational, and business teams to align priorities and support organizational objectives.
  • Support special projects, business initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
