About The Position

Staff UX Researcher, Platform Join HubSpot’s Platform UX Team: Design at Scale At HubSpot, our Product Platform Design & Research team sits at the heart of the Smart CRM. We’re responsible for the core CRM, reporting, navigation, and platform experiences that connect the right users to the right data at the right time—inside HubSpot and across our customers’ go-to-market teams. Our vision is to deliver a product where businesses focus on outcomes, not on how the system works. In practice, that means building an easy, fast, and unified customer platform: a CRM that feels consumer‑grade, moves as quickly as users do, and quietly handles the complexity of data, permissions, and AI under the hood. For user research, this space is both broad and deep. You might help modernize the Customer Profile from a static record into a dynamic surface that adapts to each person’s role and goals; refine information architecture so customers can discover value without needing to understand our org chart; or shape reporting and data visualization so teams can move from “what happened?” to “why did it happen, and what should we do next?”—often powered by AI. The work you do here doesn’t just polish isolated screens; it reshapes the foundation of how teams run their business in HubSpot—and how every other product line at HubSpot builds on top of that foundation. You will be part of a community of approximately 40 UX researchers UX researchers are embedded directly within product lines to be as close to the customer and product strategy as possible, in order to gather the greatest insights to impact our customers You will be empowered to show up as your authentic self and be based where you can do your best work: at home, in the office, or any mix of both.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of mixed research methods and the ability to apply research methods appropriate to the questions at hand and adapt methods as needed to align organization and product needs.
  • Ability to shape research strategy using survey and behavioral data, design experiments that answer high-impact product questions, and translate complex quantitative findings into clear narratives that influence senior stakeholders and drive confident decision-making.
  • Advanced statistical analysis and technical execution - experience conducting rigorous statistical analyses using tools like Python or R, applying methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, and experimental design, and ensuring data quality, validity, and reproducibility across large or complex datasets.
  • Emotional resilience and self-organization - since we work in fast-paced environments where you can pave the way through ambiguity.
  • Ability to work with and influence partners to explore ambiguous spaces and create meaningful and usable solutions.
  • Business expertise: ability to understand business drivers and provide research consultation.
  • Entrepreneurial and curious mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inform and execute against UX research roadmaps for a core product and experience, addressing aspects of software.
  • Provide thought leadership to partners and decision makers at all levels of the organization, effectively communicating durable insights through writing, presentations, and conversations to build consensus and persuade action based on findings.
  • Contribute to the creation of customer experience tools and frameworks (archetypes, journey maps, UX benchmarks).
  • Collaborate with other researchers across Hubspot to raise the bar for research and align on best practices.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate research insights into actionable improvements to the user experience.

  • Guide and influence stakeholders across the organization by effectively communicating research insights and recommendations through written reports, presentations, and conversations.
