About The Position

We are seeking a creative and experienced UX Designer to impact the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate will excel in UX and visual design, and seamlessly switch between tactical and strategic tasks. You should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences in complex environments and a deep understanding of our business goals. As a UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize work based on value, creating intuitive and visually compelling experiences for members, agents, employers, and providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design projects and demonstrating your understanding of UX principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and knowledge of user research methods, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like UserZoom / UserTesting.
  • Experience working in teams and understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum

Responsibilities

  • Tackle complex challenges by understanding user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user-centered design strategies.
  • Identify pain points in enterprise workflows and propose design enhancements.
  • Lead the end-to-end design process to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Communicate design rationale and decisions to stakeholders and team members.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for UX in business goals.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design with business objectives.
  • Communicate design concepts effectively and foster a collaborative design process.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering professional growth.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze user testing sessions to validate design decisions.
  • Utilize various research methods to inform and enhance the user experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX best practices.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities and share knowledge with the team.
