About The Position

Perform technical planning, subsystem integration, verification and validation, risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for major subsystems or components. Apply intensive and diverse knowledge to resolve complex design issues that have a significant impact to the program or task area. Perform analyses for one or more subsystems to include concept, design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of subsystem and associated interface requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks. Perform subsystem architectural analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate subsystem requirements into hardware and/or software specifications and develop failure modes and effects testing requirements for critical software threads. Provide a consistently high level of flight test engineering expertise and maintain proficiency in developing aircraft deficiency corrections. Ensure all safety requirements are met during testing, when recommending improvements, or noting deficiencies. Provide technical expertise in solving complex electrical and software engineering problems. Perform independent review of problems and develop solutions to support efficient workflow and increased situational awareness for aircrew. Evaluate Airworthiness and cyber-security of aircraft modifications using data analysis and extraction tools for independent verification and validation of embedded software systems and data interfaces.
