About The Position

This position is for an Industrial Engineer Tech (Onsite) at our Coralville manufacturing location. This position will provide technical support to Operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the disciplines of industrial engineering. This individual will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing and production processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality for programs such as HF COMM, Displays, CRIIS, TCTS2 and THAAD. This role works closely with industrial engineers, production, and quality to ensure work instructions, bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing processes are current, standardized, and aligned with operational requirements. Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and maintain manufacturing work instructions.
  • Update and maintain manufacturing master data within the ERP system, including: Bills of materials, Routings, Work Centers and Production Versions.
  • Support engineering change implementation by updating documentation and ERP records.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation complies with quality standards and revision control requirements.
  • Coordinate documentation changes with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Quality departments.
  • Assist Industrial Engineers with workflow analysis, line balancing, and capacity planning.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Audit production documentation for accuracy and identify opportunities for standardization.
  • Provide production support by resolving documentation and system-related issues.
