The Technical Program Management (TPM) organization leads the delivery of GitHub's most critical product and business initiatives. TPMs help bring new products and capabilities to market by driving execution across engineering, product, design, go-to-market, and business functions. The Technical Program Manager partners with engineering leaders, product managers, and stakeholders across GitHub to build and execute comprehensive program plans, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure teams deliver high-quality outcomes. TPMs provide clear communication, drive alignment, and help leaders make informed decisions throughout the lifecycle of complex initiatives. Successful TPMs are technically credible, operationally rigorous, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. They bring together diverse teams, balance competing priorities, and make thoughtful tradeoff recommendations that optimize for overall program success. This role sits within GitHub's Security Products organization. The TPM will partner closely with engineering, product, and business leaders to deliver capabilities that help developers build secure, high-quality software by default. Programs may span application security, software supply chain security, AI-powered security capabilities, developer platforms, and large-scale product launches that reach GitHub's global customer base. The TPM is also expected to help scale the TPM practice through process improvements, operational excellence, and the development of reusable tools and frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TPM who enjoys solving complex technical and business challenges, working across organizational boundaries, and influencing senior leaders to drive impactful outcomes.
