About The Position

As part of GE Aerospace Defense & Systems Digital Technology team, the Staff Technical Product Manager will be responsible for product ownership for the contract performance and contract closeout space within Defense Engines, defining and executing the product roadmap and driving all digital technology initiatives across the organization. Job Description This role will combine the customer vision with technical feasibility to convert business needs into functional specifications/user stories and create the strategic roadmap for the product(s). Additionally, this role will be responsible for owning and eventually sunsetting many non-pillar tools that serve these purposes today. In this role, you will: Serve as the Technical Product Manager and DT liaison for the Defense USG shipping and invoicing teams Interface with US Government entities, including DCMA and DCAA, to drive change as part of WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) billing and invoicing systems Simplify and contemporize the technology portfolio, replacing legacy solutions in accordance with the strategic roadmap Prioritize needs according to the understanding and validation of customer needs and associated outcomes, down to the user story level Be the DT face to the customers, both internally and externally, helping to define the business strategies, enable process automation, and increase productivity Drive cultural transformation and change management within the cross-functional team Enable process improvements within the business through the use of digital products and capabilities Reduce technical debt whenever and wherever possible Use FLIGHT DECK to eliminate such waste and drive continuous improvement Stay current with market trends, enabling technologies, and business digital strategy Manage resource allocation and budget Manage risk and dependencies between organizations Provide strategic inputs into budget review processes and other business activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
