About The Position

As a Staff Systems Engineer in physical AI, develop physical AI software development kit and related demonstrations for robotics and support customer use cases in other machine learning inference applications.

Requirements

• Studies in embedded systems or software, artificial intelligence, real-time computing or similar field
• Familiarity with embedded systems like Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone
• 3 years of experience in one of the above fields
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field through an accredited degree program
• English (Written & Verbal)
• Up to 10% of the time

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
• ROS2 (Robot Operating System) and associated tools like MoveIt and Drake.
• Programming Python (for AI/ML) and C/C++ (for real-time systems).
• IREE, PyTorch or TensorFlow, Reinforcement Learning, and Computer Vision.
• SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, and Docker for deployment.
• Real-time motor control, RTOS, embedded systems

Responsibilities

• Using industry standard tools to test and develop physical AI and robotics technology
• Calibrating and integrating vision, touch sensors, and motor control to help the system perceive its environment.
• Defining the "Source of Truth" for the project—mapping out how data flows to and from central compute, sensors and motors with a neural network controller.
• Prototyping and conducting hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing using embedded computers to ensure behavior in the real world.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
