About The Position
The Staff Surveyor is responsible for overseeing technicians and field crews to successfully complete large-scale land surveying projects on schedule. This role works closely with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to coordinate project scope, schedules, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks
- Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects
- Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD and MS Office
- Professional Land Surveyor License
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to complete projects according to the established scope and schedule
- Supervise technicians and field crews working on large-scale land surveying projects
- Serve as a primary client contact and maintain clear communication throughout the project
- Review, sign, and seal plats, drawings, and other survey deliverables
- Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements, technical standards, and QA/QC procedures
- Perform additional duties that support the company’s projects and strategic goals
