About The Position

We’re looking for a strong automotive embedded engineer to join our team and help integrate supplier software into our vehicle systems. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working across both software and systems, and who’s comfortable learning new things. This role gives you broad visibility across the entire vehicle system. You’ll develop a strong big-picture understanding of how all the pieces fit together, while having the opportunity to dive deeper into the areas that interest you most.

Requirements

  • Strong background in embedded systems and automotive software integration
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, and Vector tools
  • Experience working with requirements management tools (JAMA), Jira, and Confluence
  • Basic understanding of Git and standard software development workflows (branching, PRs, code reviews)
  • Ability to quickly context-switch across multiple technical domains
  • Demonstrated ability to develop tools using AI and scripting to streamline workflows
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel to support vehicle testing and integration activities when needed

Responsibilities

  • Integrate supplier software into our vehicle architecture while ensuring design considerations for manufacturability, serviceability, and diagnostics
  • Define network interfaces and communication protocols between in-house and supplier ECUs
  • Manage and trace requirements in both directions using JAMA
  • Diagnose and debug supplier ECUs and their interaction with in-house systems
  • Support cybersecurity topics, secure boot, and bootloader integration
  • Perform software integration, bring-up, testing, and issue resolution on benches, HIL systems, and vehicles
  • Support vehicle-level testing at proving grounds when required
  • Identify process inefficiencies and develop automation tools using LLM and scripting to improve team efficiency
