About The Position

The Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer - Chassis Systems is a senior technical leader responsible for driving best-in-class supplier quality and manufacturing readiness throughout the product industrialization lifecycle. This role leads Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), design-for-manufacturing and assembly reviews, supplier process development, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) execution for chassis structures and related components. You will guide suppliers and cross-functional partners through technical decisions, risk reduction, corrective actions, and launch readiness. Success will be measured by capable supplier processes, timely quality-gate completion, strong launch performance, and sustained production quality. This high-visibility role is ideal for a proactive, data-driven engineer who combines deep manufacturing expertise with strong program leadership and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced global environment.

Requirements

8 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments within Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 6 years of hands-on experience leading APQP and PPAP activities, including product and process validation, quality-gate execution, and supplier launch readiness.
Demonstrated expertise in chassis components and relevant manufacturing processes, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and GD&T.
Working mastery of automotive quality and problem-solving tools, including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, and structured root-cause analysis.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Automotive supplier industrialization experience supporting chassis structures or related systems from sourcing through production launch.
Experience auditing and developing global suppliers across metal forming, casting, machining, coatings, heat treatment, rubber processing, assembly, and associated quality controls.
ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt, or comparable quality certification.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, or Tableau.

Responsibilities

Lead APQP execution from early design and sourcing through PPAP approval and mass-production launch, ensuring supplier processes meet quality, capacity, timing, and reliability expectations.
Evaluate and improve supplier manufacturing processes for chassis components, including metal forming, forging, stamping, extrusion, rolling, machining, casting, coatings, heat treatment, rubber processing, assembly, and quality controls.
Lead supplier-facing design reviews and drive DFM/A decisions so chassis component designs incorporate manufacturing feasibility, process capability, quality requirements, and lessons learned before release.
Drive and track supplier engineering design changes, ensuring implementation plans, validation evidence, process documentation, and quality approvals are completed before production release.
Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections; establish improvement plans; and use performance metrics and build data to drive measurable gains in capability, quality, and delivery readiness.
Partner with Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning, Plant Supplier Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to contain quality issues, protect Lucid production, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions and read-across improvements.
Ensure supplier processes and documentation align with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AIAG expectations, and applicable Lucid quality requirements.
