We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Structural Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD. This position is a part of our Structures Analysis team within the Hardware Engineering Organization. Our work includes but is not limited to Airborne Multifunctional Sensors such as Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • A current/active clearance is not required to be considered for the position, but a final clearance is required to start
  • 12 years of experience classical structural and finite element analysis including static, non-linear, modal, and vibration analysis.
  • 12 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • 12 years of experience developing FEMs at detail and assembly levels.
  • Awareness for cost reduction, weight management and structural efficiency.
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience giving presentations to internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Experience with airborne products such as multifunction sensor systems, and their environments and requirements
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Software experience: NX.CAE (SimCenter 3D) / NX.Nastran, Ansys Mechanical, or MSC Patran

Responsibilities

  • Performing structural analysis on aerospace, shipboard, ground based, and space radar systems and structures.
  • Loads development, stress analysis (static and fatigue), and vibration analysis of metallic and composite structures.
  • Performing classical structural analysis, as well as finite element analysis is essential.
  • Utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills is important for clear communication of results through reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate in a team environment, mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and organize tasks to support program milestones.
