The Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. About the team: The Customer Care technology team develops and maintains advanced platforms supporting millions of customer interactions monthly. They manage a proprietary CRM system and intelligent workflows to enhance operational efficiency and resolution speed. By integrating Generative AI, the team improves agent productivity and delivers context-aware experiences. Members contribute to scalable, business-critical systems using cloud-native architecture and software design principles. Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience with strong coding and design skills.
  • Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) and agentic systems.
  • Expertise in building RESTful APIs using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) ensuring high code quality and coverage.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and performance optimization.
  • Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Splunk, Kafka, Git, and Maven.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP).
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and drive adoption of best-in-class engineering practices while staying current with industry trends.
  • Lead architectural design and build scalable, resilient solutions for evolving business needs.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence.
  • Own and deliver medium- to large-scale projects by translating requirements into high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and clear communication of risks and status.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to guide technical decisions, feasibility, planning, and execution.
