About The Position

Henry Schein One is seeking a talented and passionate Staff Software Engineer to build and operate internal platforms that Henry Schein One's engineering teams run on – the infrastructure layer, CI/CD pipelines, and the developer lifecycle tooling underneath. You’ll be a hands-on individual contributor and technical authority: shaping architecture, mentoring other engineers, and driving reliability and scalability across the platform. You'll operate with little to no supervision, act as a subject-matter expert, and take on difficult, ambiguous problems – establishing reusable software patterns that other teams adopt and making decisions that affect the company's reputation and performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Solid understanding of common architecture patterns and working knowledge of company-wide infrastructure
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) or similar AI technologies for generating, interpreting, and improving codebases

  • Expert level experience in unit testing, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Track record of owning a domain and defining cross-team, interdependent roadmaps
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring or providing technical leadership to other engineers
  • Passion for building great platforms and driving development team success
