About The Position

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies used by billions of people. They work on projects critical to Google's needs and are expected to demonstrate versatility, leadership, and enthusiasm for solving problems across the full stack. This role supports Google Ad Manager, a platform publishers use to monetize content through direct reservations and real-time programmatic auctions. The Frontend team builds the full-stack product—including schemas, APIs, web UI, and offline pipelines—and is integrating LLM and generative AI capabilities into publisher workflows. Google Ads applies machine learning and generative AI models such as Gemini across its global business, with work focused on user safety, ad quality, and advertiser return on investment. The Staff Software Engineer will lead and coach a team, guide full-stack system design, partner with Product Management and UX, and coordinate across Ad Manager and partner teams. Individual pay depends on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US compensation is $207,000–$300,000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
