Staff Software Engineer, EW
About The Position
Anduril’s Electronic Warfare (EW) team is seeking an experienced generalist embedded software engineer to build the software ecosystem supporting a next-generation electronic warfare platform. The role involves developing high-performance numerical algorithms, enabling high-performance interfaces between next-generation RF hardware and software, rapidly deploying capabilities developed by DSP and RFML engineers, and integrating electronic warfare products with the Anduril Lattice system-of-systems suite. The engineer will use state-of-the-art software construction techniques to deliver correct, mission-critical code.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience with software-defined digital radio systems.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with typed functional programming languages such as Haskell, OCaml, or Rust.
- Experience with software-defined digital radio systems.
- Experience with high-performance numerical algorithm development.
- Experience with Linux kernel module development.
- Experience writing software that interfaces with FPGAs and GPUs.
- Experience with Nix/NixOS.
Responsibilities
- Develop hardware abstractions in collaboration with FPGA, DSP, and firmware engineers.
- Design tooling to rapidly deploy advanced DSP and RFML models for detecting and defeating emerging threats.
- Implement high-performance numerical algorithms for RF data generation, analysis, and manipulation.
- Develop correct, high-reliability electronic warfare software integrated with the Anduril Lattice ecosystem.
- Use infrastructure for deterministic builds and configuration management to support deployment, ensure software traceability, and minimize product maintenance burden.
