About The Position

DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Staff Software Engineer for its Infrastructure R&D team in Boston, Massachusetts. The engineer will architect, plan, and lead the development of high-performance, on-device medical software applications that securely connect to cloud services for telemetry, command and control, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air updates. The role works closely with systems, hardware, firmware, quality, and regulatory partners to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable software that impacts patient outcomes. The position includes developing production-grade C#/.NET applications and services for Windows targets, integrating device software with clinical applications and local and cloud services, and building secure device-to-cloud and cloud-connected systems. The engineer contributes throughout the software development lifecycle in a regulated environment, including requirements, design, implementation, verification and validation, release, maintenance, traceability, and regulatory documentation. The role also involves software quality practices, Agile collaboration, design and code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
