About The Position

As a Staff Engineer for Equinix Fabric, you will contribute to building a fully programmable, self-service Connectivity-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform that underpins critical global connectivity. You will write production-quality code, participate in architectural discussions, and help raise the technical bar across your team. You will own the technical lifecycle of product features end-to-end, collaborate closely with engineers and architects, and mentor junior colleagues. Contribute to the design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems. Apply SOLID principles and clean architecture patterns, working collaboratively with architects on technical direction for Equinix Fabric. Own multiple product features from design through delivery. Understand customer use cases, dive deep to resolve root causes, and ensure your work meets the SLA demands of Equinix Fabric’s global partner base. Help define and maintain API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and Northbound/Southbound interfaces, ensuring reliable integration between Equinix and cloud partners including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing. Actively contribute to a culture of technical excellence within your squad. Communicate clearly with product teams and internal stakeholders as they adopt new platform capabilities. Translate feature requirements into solid technical design and working code.
