About The Position

The Staff Software Engineer leads the team supporting and enhancing the code base for the company’s administrative and reporting tools and is responsible for development practices across the web and services integration platform. The role leads implementation of the full-stack web experience and works with the UX/UI department to shape the technical vision for products. The engineer collaborates with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver compelling, efficient tools and products; identifies and resolves performance and scalability issues; and leads, coaches, and trains a team of full-stack developers.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of enterprise web development experience.
3 years of experience leading teams of software developers.
Strong understanding of enterprise technology stack.
Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
Strong in-depth experience in SQL performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with all layers of the development stack, including Java EE backend and Angular frontend.
Ability to articulate and explain technical solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and manage implementation of overall product and service integration architecture.
Prioritize and manage development effort needed to fulfill product feature requests in a timely manner.
Define and design architecture and solutions with enterprise architects and the Manager, Software Engineering to create scalable, robust web applications.
Create technical specifications and test plans.
Write, translate, and code automation scripts to test, maintain, and monitor solutions.
Work with DevOps to transition software into a production environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Lead, coach, and train a team of full-stack developers.
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
Work closely with the UX/UI department and collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers.
