About The Position

Casca is building AGI for banking, replacing legacy systems with AI-native technology that automates manual work. This role involves a significant contribution to coding while also collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring team members. The engineer will drive architectural decisions, lead complex initiatives, and optimize for value by building SaaS applications that balance complexity, quality, and speed of delivery. They will also be responsible for elevating standards by fine-tuning controls and communication channels to improve predictability and system reliability, using data to prioritize work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering significant projects in fast-paced, production SaaS environments.
  • Holistic understanding of web architectures and comfortable navigating a broad system.
  • Thrive in high-velocity environments and comfortable making decisions under pressure.
  • Understand that a perfect architecture is useless if it doesn't ship, and know how to manage trade-offs to maintain momentum.
  • Quality-first mentality, but with a bias for action.
  • Can quickly identify the trade-offs between "doing it right" and "doing it now," and know when to pull which lever.
  • Deep expertise in modern programming languages and web application frameworks.
  • Strong competence in data modeling for relational databases and distributed cloud platforms.
  • Instinctively design for security, reliability and compliance without slowing down execution.
  • Can take a high-level business goal and independently drive it to a technical solution, navigating ambiguity and minimizing churn along the way.
