Staff Software Engineer
About The Position
Interact with the Systems Architect, Development Team Leaders, business team members and other members of the development team and demand a high level of design and coding to implement and deliver enhancements. Provide leadership and technical expertise to enable multi-layered solution architectures that comprehend and specify business, application, data and infrastructure designs. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, or security needs to determine hardware configuration. Supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel. Supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
- Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role.
- Five (5) years of experience with: Delivering Java and JEE Business Solutions
- Five (5) years of experience with: Full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Five (5) years of experience with: SQL and Oracle
- Five (5) years of experience with: OO analysis and design experience
- Five (5) years of experience with: Agile Development Techniques including TDD, JUnit, Mocks, and Pair Programming
- Five (5) years of experience with: SQL, Hibernate, Web Services including REST and SOAP, and WebLogic
- Five (5) years of experience with: Microservices, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Spark, Kubernetes, Akka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Redis, Bitbucket, and Maven.
- Three (3) years of experience with: Web technologies including HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, JavaScript, and Adobe CQ.
