About The Position
Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level product software engineer to help build the future of AI software development. The role involves building and owning user-facing features across various Hercules products, including their AI Agent, App Builder, SDK, Mobile app, and Platform. This position requires a strong foundation in software engineering principles, a keen product and design sense, and experience with SaaS features and modern technologies.
Requirements
- Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
- Proven track record of independently shipping features to customers (product sense).
- Excellent UX/UI design sense using cutting-edge frontend innovations.
- General experience with SaaS features: billing (subscriptions, entitlements), product analytics (A/B testing, feature flags), i18n, notifications for large user bases.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, and Redis.
- Experience leveraging AI to enhance workflows.
- Willingness to work hard and break through walls to achieve outcomes.
- Willingness to operate at any level to get things done.
- Ability to work in US time zones (for remote candidates).
- Willingness to travel to the office regularly (for remote candidates).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Clickhouse, Tailwind, IaC (CDK, Terraform), Docker, Otel, Hono, Drizzle ORM, Temporal.
- Experience with Cloudflare and AWS.
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google AI models.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
- Collaborate on shipping features to customers and iterating quickly.
