About The Position

Anthropic is seeking experienced software engineers to join the Platform Ecosystem team within its Platform organization. This team is responsible for empowering new industries to build on Claude and creating the commercial infrastructure for businesses on the platform to thrive. As a founding team member, you will play a crucial role in accelerating AI transformation in impactful, mission-driven sectors. You will lead 0 to 1 initiatives from conception to delivery, collaborate closely with product, design, research, and forward-deployed engineers, and leverage strong product and business acumen to shape strategy in new domains. The role requires comfort with diverse technology stacks and the ability to delve deep to overcome challenges and deliver high-quality products from ambiguous opportunities. The Ecosystem team is structured around two pillars: Verticals, focusing on building for new API markets like Life Sciences & Healthcare by developing capabilities, integrations, and workflows for safe and scalable Claude adoption; and Monetization, building the commercial systems for pricing, packaging, and selling platform offerings, and providing businesses with necessary controls. This work is at the intersection of product, platform infrastructure, and go-to-market strategy, directly influencing the growth of the Claude ecosystem.

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer.
Some frontend experience.
Strong product sense and technical chops to tackle a wide variety of challenges.
Great at working closely with cross-functional partners to ideate and execute product strategy in new domains.
Familiar with using AI tools as part of the software development process.
Take a product-focused approach to platform work and care about building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to use.
Take full ownership of your work — from design through build, deployment, and operations, to iterating on and improving your product.
Can navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisions independently.
Ideally operated in both 0 → 1 and more mature team or company settings.
Care about building systems that other engineers and businesses love to use.

Responsibilities

Drive 0 → 1 efforts from ideation through delivery.
Partner closely with product, design, research, and forward-deployed engineers.
Bring strong product and business sense to shape strategy in entirely new domains.
Be comfortable moving across a breadth of different stacks and going deep when needed.
Understand industry needs from Claude and build capabilities, integrations, and workflows for adoption.
Move quickly across unfamiliar domains and ship products that unlock new customer categories.
Design and operate systems for pricing, packaging, and selling platform offerings.
Provide businesses with controls to confidently price, package, and sell their offerings.
Work at the intersection of product, platform infrastructure, and go-to-market.
