Staff Software Engineer (Payments)

GoFundMeSan Francisco, CA
$195,000 - $293,000Hybrid

About The Position

GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010. The GoFundMe team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Payments organization on the Payouts team, helping us build and scale next-generation payments infrastructure capable of handling billions of dollars in transactions. You'll serve as a senior IC on the team responsible for ledgering money movement and getting money out to the people who need it. You'll help bring more of our core payments capabilities in-house — reducing reliance on external vendors and fintech partners for compliance and control reasons — while designing and implementing the end-to-end product lifecycle for payout solutions, from ideation to launch and iteration. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader who thrives on solving complex problems in payments, setting architectural direction, and leading by example through hands-on contributions. Candidates considered for this role will be located in San Francisco. This is a hybrid position.
