About The Position

Our team builds and supports the core merchandising and product data platforms that keep the business moving, from item setup and product enrichment to pricing, inventory, and omnichannel execution. We are seeking a highly technical, strategic, and domain-expert Lead / Staff Software Engineer to spearhead the engineering, integration, and automation of our core enterprise merchandising platforms. In this role, you will take full ownership of our master data and core merchandising ecosystem, Stibo STEP PIM (Product Information Management) and Oracle Retail Suite (RMS / RMFCS). Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and Product Information Management (PIM) role bridges merchandising and data governance. You will design, configure, and maintain integrated platforms to manage enterprise product lifecycles, ensuring seamless data flow across supply chain, inventory, and point-of-sale systems. This is a strictly hands-on role. You will write code, build integrations, configure platforms, and actively architect the system and collaborate other cross functional teams. Beyond traditional software engineering, this position requires demonstrated experience in Agentic AI development.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of core retail industry experience with a deep understanding of merchandise hierarchies, foundational inventory management, pricing systems, and supply chain operations.
  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience utilizing JavaScript, XML, XSD, JSON, Linux environments, and RESTful/SOAP Web Services.
  • 8+ years of direct configuration and architecture experience within Stibo STEP PIM (workflows, portal development, endpoint integrations).
  • Deep technical exposure to Oracle RMS/RMFCS database schemas, including advanced capability writing/reviewing complex operational PL/SQL queries and performance-tuning Oracle databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing autonomous AI agents.
  • Practical experience with prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Proven capability to prioritize deliverables, architect reusable systems, and collaborate with Product Management teams in a fast-paced Agile environment (Jira/Git).
  • Familiarity with deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise applications in cloud and SaaS environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Services (ORMCS) alongside enterprise PIM platforms (like Stibo Systems STEP).
  • Actively write code, configure, and architect Stibo STEP (Item, Location, Vendor Portal) alongside Oracle Retail Merchandising Systems (RMS/RMFCS).
  • Define enterprise-wide data models and product taxonomy.
  • Engineer custom Stibo JavaScript business rules, state transitions, and approval workflows.
  • Configure automated business rules and change-management workflows to review, approve, and enrich item data before it hits customer touchpoints.
  • Map and build data integration pipelines between RMS, PIM, ERP, and e-commerce systems to enable omnichannel journeys.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from vendor onboarding and purchase orders to pricing, inventory allocation, and fulfillment.
  • Use production-grade Agentic AI frameworks to automate complex retail tasks.
