About The Position
Hercules is looking for a staff-level growth engineer to help build the future of AI software development. This role will own growth across the entire customer journey, from the landing page through to long-term conversion. The engineer will be responsible for experimenting with landing pages to optimize sign-up conversion, ensuring users reach the "aha" moment, converting free users to paying customers through upsells and experimentation, retaining customers by keeping them engaged, and expanding revenue from existing customers through plan upgrades and increased usage.
Requirements
- Staff level growth engineer
- Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code
- Experience working effectively in monorepos
- Track record running hundreds of A/B tests on platforms like Statsig, PostHog, etc.
- Robust experimentation best practices
- Extensive SQL skills
- Clear and simple reporting
- Ability to identify and prioritize the biggest opportunities
- Build intuitive experiences across landing pages, onboarding, upgrade flows, and engagement features
- Experience with TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, and Redis
- Ability to leverage AI to 10x workflow
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AI SDK, Clickhouse, Tailwind, IaC (CDK, Terraform), Docker, Otel, Hono, Drizzle ORM, Temporal
- Experience with Cloudflare, AWS
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI Models
Responsibilities
- Own growth across the entire customer journey from landing page all the way through to long term conversion
- Experiment with our landing pages to optimize sign up conversion
- Make sure we get every user to the "aha" moment
- Convert free users into paying customers with upsells, entitlement experimentation, paywalls, time constrained discounts, and more
- Make sure customers keep building on Hercules and stay engaged
- Continue to grow revenue from existing customers through plan upgrades, increased usage, add-ons, or conversion from monthly to annual plans
