About The Position
Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level full-stack software engineer to help build the future of AI software development. The role involves building and owning features across various Hercules products, including the AI Agent, App Builder, Hosting infrastructure, SDK, Platform, and an internal AI coding harness. This position requires a strong foundation in software fundamentals, code quality, product sense, and SaaS experience, with a focus on leveraging AI to enhance development workflows.
Requirements
- Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
- Proven track record of independently shipping features to customers.
- Strong experience with SaaS features: billing (subscriptions, entitlements), identity (OAuth, RBAC, SSO/SAML), product analytics (A/B testing, feature flags), i18n, notifications for large user bases.
- Proficiency in core stack: TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal.
- Experience leveraging AI to enhance development workflows.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hercules' full stack: Typescript, React, AI SDK, Postgres, Redis, Clickhouse, Tailwind, IaC (CDK, Terraform), Docker, Otel, Hono, Drizzle ORM, Temporal.
- Experience with Cloudflare, AWS.
- Experience with AI Models: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google.
Responsibilities
- Build and own features across Hercules including our AI Agent, App Builder, Hosting infrastructure, SDK, Platform, and Internal AI coding harness.
- Develop and maintain AI Agent, which enables building full-stack applications.
- Enhance App Builder for easy app creation, preview, and deployment.
- Scale and ensure reliability of hosting infrastructure for a large number of apps.
- Integrate SDKs into user applications.
- Ensure the Platform offers user-friendly experience with enterprise-grade security and reliability.
- Improve internal coding harness output by 100x using AI.
