The role We’re seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join the Product Footprints team. We’re building an AI-powered product that enables Watershed’s largest customers to measure and reduce their supply chain emissions. You’ll be a leader in building new 0 → 1 products and scaling them, tackling large and ambiguous challenges across technical systems and product engineering. You’ll work side-by-side with product managers, AI engineers, and climate scientists. This role sits within Watershed’s Data and AI org, which builds AI products and core scientific datasets (including Cornerstone).
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering industry experience across both front-end and back-end, with an emphasis on back-end
- A track record of ownership and high-impact projects
- Experience building early-stage products
- Experience with, or interest in, building AI-powered and data-centric products
- Mission-driven and excited to build products that will help companies reduce their emissions
Responsibilities
- Build new products and features for Watershed’s biggest customers and most complex use cases.
- Work across our full stack, with an emphasis on back-end systems and data models
- Partner with Product Management and Design to understand user workflows and needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Partner with AI engineers and climate scientists to build ergonomic and trustworthy agentic workflows
- Lead by example by writing performant, well-crafted, extensible, and maintainable code
