CVS Shared Services Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Irving, TX: Staff Software Development Engineer to Design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. Duties include: leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards; contributes to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers; provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives; participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines; communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes; contribute to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality; participate in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team; work with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code; and provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally. Less than 10% travel per year. Hybrid position: remote work permitted but must live within commuting distance of designated office location and remain available to report to office as needed and required. Multiple positions
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Two (2) years of experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps
- Two (2) years of experience in XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
- Two (2) years of experience in Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles
- Two (2) years of experience with Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone
- Two (2) years of experience with REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs
- Two (2) years of experience with JIRA, Rally, or Confluence
- Two (2) years of experience with Cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Two (2) years of experience with Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Two (2) years of experience in Domain support for healthcare or retail organization
- Two (2) years of experience in Writing application code and deploying to production
- Two (2) years of experience in Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions
- Two (2) years of experience with Relational database concepts
- Two (2) years of experience with Software development best practices
Responsibilities
