As a Staff Software Architect – Level 5 located in McLean, VA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of professional experience.
  • Active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Experience designing and leading teams developing microservice, service-oriented, and/or event-driven architectures
  • Experience with message broker and/or message streaming solutions (Artemis ActiveMQ, Kafka, NATS.io, etc)
  • Experience with direct inter-processing communications technologies (HTTP, WebSocket, gRPC)
  • Experience with documenting and communicating System Architecture for developers and leadership (C4 Model, Cameo, etc) including identifying trade-offs to developers and leadership
  • Experience with Windows and Linux (RHEL) based development
  • Experience with development in a multi-language development (C++, Python, Elixir, HTML/Javascript)
  • Experience with Web and Native UI development (Qt, ReactJS or equivalent)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
