About The Position

This position is headquartered in a state of the art high-rise building located in downtown Sacramento. This position is designated as remote-centered and currently works 2 days per week in the office, and as needed for critical work assignments, training, and team building activities. We are looking for an independent and innovative leader to serve as the Benefits and Disability Unit Manager. The BDU Manager provides strategic leadership, oversight, and management of BDU. The incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and monitors the work of staff responsible for the administration of benefits, disability, and workers' compensation programs for all CDFW employees. The BDU Manager ensures that all personnel transactions, benefits, and disability programs are administered in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), California Department of Human Resources and California Public Employees' Retirement System policies, and State Controller's Office procedures.
