About The Position

Tyson Foods, Inc. has an opening for Staff Service Manager in Springdale, AR. Plan, coordinate, and oversee Unix infrastructure service delivery across on‑premises and cloud environments; lead, guide, and coordinate a team of Unix service professionals; manage projects related to system lifecycle activities, including upgrades, maintenance, and disaster recovery; oversee service operations supporting business‑critical enterprise environments, including manufacturing systems; manage incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure timely resolution and minimal business impact; ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and operational standards; conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous service improvement initiatives; develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships related to Unix infrastructure services; ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, including SOX; monitor service performance metrics and report on trends and improvements; collaborate with business stakeholders to align infrastructure services with organizational needs; and, apply IT service management and ITIL practices to support reliable and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in the position offered or related position
  • Experience designing, supporting, and managing enterprise‑scale infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure
  • Five (5) years of experience managing enterprise Linux and Unix operating systems, including RHEL, SUSE, Oracle Linux, AIX, and related lifecycle management tools such as Red Hat Satellite and SUSE Manager
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing and maintaining infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, and AWS CloudFormation to support scalable, repeatable infrastructure deployments
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing and maintaining enterprise monitoring and logging solutions using Splunk, Nagios, and cloud‑native monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch to ensure system availability and performance
  • Five (5) years of experience designing, testing, and supporting disaster recovery solutions using tools such as AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery in large‑scale enterprise environments as well as Zerto and backup recoveries
  • Five (5) years of experience managing software license compliance and usage metrics using IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) and supporting infrastructure vendor platforms, including IBM pSeries and Dell enterprise systems
