The Department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health Sciences has an opening for a Staff Scientist. We are particularly interested in a candidate with strong background and experience in environmental tobacco/e-cigarette-mediated oxidative stress and inflammation using in vitro and in vivo models. We seek a person who will be able to lead hypothesis-driven research on inflammation, circadian rhythms, epigenetics of DNA damage/repair. Exosomes, mitochondrial dysfunction and cellular senescence using cutting edge molecular biology and biochemical approaches to investigate the impact of e-cigarette/tobacco smoke in chronic lung diseases including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary fibrosis.
