Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s M. Dhodapkar lab seeks a highly qualified and motivated Staff Scientist to lead research on immunotherapies and immune function in cancer patients. The lab studies interactions between cancer and the immune system in precursor states and clinical malignancy, with a particular focus on multiple myeloma. Its research includes developing immune therapies such as novel CAR-T cells and bispecific engagers for immune-cell redirection, including in vivo approaches and new targets. Studies use mouse models developed by the group and high-dimensional immune assays. The role offers opportunities to advance translational applications in immunotherapy and disease modeling and to collaborate with colleagues at the University of Washington and other cancer centers. The position is suited to someone who enjoys cross-disciplinary collaboration, mentoring junior scientific investigators, and contributing to an innovative academic environment. The Staff Scientist handles projects independently and conducts experiments under the guidance of the laboratory PI.
