About The Position

Epsilon is seeking a full-time staff scientist or engineer to work as part of the Epsilon team on a wide range of environmental licensing, permitting and compliance projects. This hybrid position will encompass work primarily in the Acoustics Group in our Maynard, MA office. In the Acoustics Group, the successful candidate will assist with community sound level measurement programs, meteorological data collection, data analysis, shadow flicker analyses for wind turbines, sound level modeling, and report preparation. This position requires periodic field work as well as overnight, out-of-state travel.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental or Physical Sciences, or Physics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary project team
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle for business travel, including proper insurance and registration
  • All necessary paperwork to work in the USA

Nice To Haves

  • 0-3 years of experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience in using sound level measurement and meteorological equipment
  • Experience with ISO 9613-2 sound modeling software (i.e. CadnaA, SoundPLAN)
