Requirements

4+ years of work experience, including experience on FDOT projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
EIT certification.
Proficiency with CAD, particularly Microstation and OpenRoads.
Familiarity with FDOT design standards and policies.
Excellent, clear, and concise oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations, and prepare written reports and meeting minutes.
Ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual with initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts.

Nice To Haves

Planning and/or Engineering experience with infrastructure, which may include environmental document preparation, cost estimates, technical reports, construction plans, and project displays.
Experience in a client-facing role, either as a team or individual, making presentations and managing client expectations.
Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
Working towards Florida PE.
OpenRoads Designer (3D) experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and interstate interchanges.
Perform various roles on multi-disciplined projects, such as planning, technical design of minor projects, production lead, task leader, and assisting Project Managers and lead engineers.
Assist in developing project scopes and budgets.
Interface with and maintain client needs for the Project Manager.
Mentor and develop junior staff and design/drafters.
Develop project plans and maintain project schedules.
Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices, including quality and safety standards.
