The registered nurse in this position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. This role involves providing quality nursing care based on a family-centered approach, educating patients and families from admission through discharge, and ensuring thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process. The Staff RN works closely with physicians and other team members to address patient/family concerns and ensure a smooth transition of care. Additionally, the nurse administers medications and performs treatments safely and accurately, ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures, and ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the proper department.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio
  • CPR required
  • Must be able to physically exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work
  • Position may require frequent patient handling activity
