About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Nursing practice reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia, in good standing and without limitations.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications relevant to specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies.
