The registered nurse in this role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care using the nursing process. This includes directing co-workers and delegating tasks, providing quality nursing care with a family-centered approach, and educating patients and families from admission through discharge. The nurse will also ensure thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation, collaborate with physicians and team members for smooth transitions of care, administer medications and treatments safely, ensure compliance with FMC policies, and maintain readily available equipment and supplies, reporting malfunctions as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio
  • CPR required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process.
  • Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.
  • Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach.
  • Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
  • Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.
  • Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
  • Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
