Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients. Super Flex nurses support multiple care sites throughout OhioHealth, including Doctors, Dublin, Grant, Riverside, Pickerington, Grove City, Berger, Grady, Marion, Mansfield, Morrow County, Shelby and Hardin. Each shift provides a different experience as the Flex associate potentially supports a different unit/care-site for each scheduled shift. Flex associates are assigned to a care site anywhere from two hours to weeks in advance. This position requires a strong clinical nurse who feels confident and comfortable in asking questions and seeking clarifications when necessary. Flex nurses must be independent but able to adapt to each unit’s specific needs. This position offers the unique opportunity to experience different units throughout OhioHealth. Additional benefits include float pay and mileage reimbursement. This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week, Night Shift, focusing on Medical Surgical level of care.
