Stamford Health is looking for a Fulltime STAFF RN for the Non-Invasive Cardiology Team! This position is a Fulltime Monday-Friday, Rotating Weekends and Holidays! Requirements

• Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
• ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one-year nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred (Non‑Invasive, Critical Care, Telemetry, or Cath Lab experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Department in providing high quality care to non-invasive, cardiac testing patients.
• Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
• Be proficient in monitoring and patient assessment and Pre/Intra/Post care particular to the patients in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department.
• Be competent in the management of patients undergoing Cardioversion, Trans Esophageal ECHO, and all types of Stress Testing.
• Coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population.
• Provide support to non-RN personnel.
• Perform and assist with cardiac stress testing.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care for TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and Cardioversion patients.
• Care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients with a focus on safety, education, and outcomes.
• Accurately obtain and interpret 12‑lead EKGs.
• Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and respond appropriately to changes.
• Educate patients and families on heart health, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver person‑centered care.
