About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The position is with Northside Hospital, an expanding healthcare organization serving patients and communities in Atlanta and beyond.

Work hours are 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend work is required on a rotating basis. On-call work is not required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing, without limitations.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide professional nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
