About The Position

The Staff RN uses the nursing process to deliver nursing care to a given patient care population as it relates to the care setting. Nursing care is based on the interpretation and execution of the medical and nursing plan of treatment utilizing established procedures, standards, and protocols for individuals within the assigned work shift. The Staff RN provides nursing care to the population served in the unit. This role demonstrates Home Health specific competencies, performs OASIS/Comprehensive assessments and completes documentation in a timely manner. It adheres to guidelines regarding time points of specific questions, WOCN and outpatient infusion guidance. The role oversees coordination, communication, and facilitation of the patient plan of care in a timely manner, while involving physicians, staff, and other healthcare team members. It submits a weekly case management schedule to the manager and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, oversees LVNs and CHHAs, and reports any changes to the manager immediately. The role supervises and documents the home health aide plan of care every two weeks, attends weekly case conferences and staff meetings, and adheres to the telecommuting policy, obtaining approval prior to use. The Staff RN rotates on-call duties, responds within 20 minutes of receiving a call, and submits a call log the next morning to the on-call manager or team lead. The role also adheres to annual "I will" statements.

Requirements

College Diploma Nursing
1 Clinical experience in healthcare
Registered Nurse License
BLS certification
Drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
