About The Position

The ICU Staff RN provides nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC’s) standard of practice, assuming responsibility and accountability for ICU patients within designated time frames, following the nursing process. The ICU RN supports ICU’s mission to deliver compassionate evidence-based care to critically ill patients and their family members. This position functions as a patient advocate at all times and oversees the performance of any non-professional whose activities impact patient care.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • 2 years previous RN experience required.
  • Has the physical and mental health sufficient to accomplish the duties of a Registered Nurse and is able to meet the pharmacology requirements of Marshall Medical Center.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
  • Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License or Interim Permit with scheduled National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) date (for New Grad RN Qualifications).
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred (for New Grad RN Qualifications).
  • Candidates who completed senior preceptorship in ICU preferred (for New Grad RN Qualifications).
  • Candidates with acute care work experience, particularly in ICU preferred (for New Grad RN Qualifications).
